The Northwestern Debate Institute is an unequaled living-learning experience for high school debaters. The institute will provide an intensive and comprehensive summer debate experience that will prepare debaters for next season and beyond. Northwestern University’s Debate Team has an unparalleled record of success based on the foundations, fundamentals and techniques taught at the Northwestern Debate Institute. Learn the debate principles that have led to 15 NDT championships, 16 final round appearances, 6 top speakers – a record of success unmatched in college debate. Center for Talent Development’s (CTD) Equinox program provides rigorous, credit-bearing acceleration opportunities for academically advanced students completing grades 9 through 12. Taking challenging courses at a world-class university, participating in recreational activities and social events with friends, and developing the self-confidence and self-directed learning skills crucial to success in college define the Equinox experience. Equinox courses are taught at the high school honors level, the Advanced Placement level, or the college level by master instructors. Each course carries one or two semesters of high-school credit upon successful completion.
